Membership Status
Please indicate whether you are a new or a renewing ISHS member and whether you are currently a student.

Membership Dues
ISHS Membership dues fall into two categories—Regular membership and Associate membership. Regular members receive a subscription to the 36th Volume of the Society's journal, HUMOR: International Journal of Humor Research. Regular membership dues are $130 with a print subscription to HUMOR and $69 with an online subscription to HUMOR. Associate membership dues, without the journal, are $30.

Subscribing members who join or renew online with ISHS by February 1, 2024 can take a $5 discount on membership--$125 for print subscribers and $64 for online subscribers. No discount applies to Associate membership.

ISHS Scholarship Fund
In 2006, ISHS established a scholarship fund under Holy Names University to support scholars in need and graduate students presenting at ISHS Conferences. Scholarship donations go to fund specifically our graduate student awards program.  Each year the Society gives one $500 stipend and two to three $300 stipends to graduate students who have submitted exceptional papers to the annual conference. These students typically present their work in a special Conference session.

Please consider making a donation to the ISHS Scholarship fund to support scholarship in humor studies.

Processing Fees
A processing fee of 3% plus $1.00 is applied to all online credit card transactions.
